Boldness is the key word and concept in the passage we are looking at this morning. The boldness or courage of the disciples in proclaiming the gospel of Christ in the face of intense and growing opposition.
Boldness is about conviction. Your convictions come from what you believe in your heart to be true. It is possible to be convicted about the wrong things also. But the key part about conviction is faith or belief.
Every athlete will push through the most difficult of challenges because they believe something to be true about what they are working toward. In fact, it isn’t just about talent, it is about belief, the mind, the convictions of the heart. The best players are set apart by their convictions.
In the Christian life, it is what you really believe that will drive your life. Or to put it another way, the way you live your life displays your convictions.
