This sermon takes us through the way God had chosen Moses right from his infancy. He grew up under the protection of Pharaoh in the palace for 40 years. Through that time he knew that he belonged to the Jewish people, no doubt because of the influence of his parents when he was very young, before he was taken into the palace. He eventually fled the palace because Pharaoh wanted him punished for killing an Egyptian. The Egyptian was mistreating a Jew. Moses lived in the wilderness for 40 years before the LORD met him at a burning bush and called him back to Egypt to redeem the people of Israel. In the final 40 years of his life we see how his palace experience and wilderness experience helped him lead the people of Israel out of captivity in Egypt and to the Promised Land. Moses was God’s chosen man to redeem the Jewish people.
