This is a short three-part series to talk about the family unit. We Indian’s pride ourselves on our family values. In many ways, the family unit is much stronger than other places in the world. However, that does not mean that families in India are perfect or that everything is right about how our families work.
What we want as believers is not to be Indian in our family values, but Biblical in them. Neither do we want to try and be Western. We need to get back to the Bible to see what the family unit is all about.
This first sermon deals with marriage and God’s design for marriage. It examines five Biblical truths about marriage:
- Marriage was instituted by God
- Marriage is between one man and one woman for life
- Marriage is between two equal partners
- Marriage is a partnership
- Marriage is a union
