This sermon takes us through the sixth word of the Lord Jesus on cross when He cried out in John 19:30, “It is finished.” Why would the Lord Jesus say, “It is finished?” Was he finished? Did his enemies finish him off? Was it a cry of defeat?
In truth, this was a cry of triumph and victory. The Lord Jesus had finished paying the price for sin. He had paid the price that satisfied God’s justice. The debt is clear for those who put their faith in Jesus Christ.
