We deal with pressure all the time. Pressure can come from different places – your work, studies, family and relationships, money, peer pressure, the expectations of people, deadlines, bills etc. Every human beings feels the weight of these things. How we handle pressure will enable us to live relatively happy and contented lives. Paul who was in prison wrote to the Philippian church what has come to be called ‘a letter of joy.’ He says in Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.” A few verses further on he speaks of having learned how to be content no matter what the situation. He writes in Philippians 4:12, 13, “I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
