Tthe Lord Jesus Christ has the power to rescue us even out of the depths of sin itself. The physical condition of this man, who was lame from birth and was now 40 years old, is a picture of our condition – our spiritual condition. We are all bent out of shape, helpless, weak, distressed, powerless to save ourselves.
