We have reached a stage in the church today, and I’m speaking of the church generically, where we are overly comfortable. Not just churches, but individual believers. We believe that we are rich, prosperous and we have no need. Our church services are nice comfortable events that fit neatly into our lives. Our Christian lives are easily managed and slotted into our work, family, entertainment etc.
In one sense there is hardly anything missing from the church or our lives as Christians today, except the most important thing. We are missing the genuine and sacred offering of ourselves and our worship to God.
This five part series is aimed at bringing us back to a genuine heart of worship. Here is part one.
